These plants can then be set out anywhere, and although the top of the plant does not grow until Spring weather, the roots take hold immediately and develop even though they should be covered with 'snow. Later when the weather becomes favorable, they make an astonishing growth, due to their early start. You know what the difference in profits will be, if your crop is harvested three or four weeks earlier than from' home grown plants.
The severe late blizzards of the Spring of 1924 destroyed many of our cabbage fields just prior to shipping time, but our customers made generous allowance for the heavy difficulties with which we had to contend that year. However, we do not look for such severe blizzards this year again, and as we have made much larger plantings, we will have at least plants for shipment - enough for all.
