Publisher's Synopsis
"Soul Trip" is a graphic novel, a metaphysical allegory using the metaphor of a road trip to illuminate the constant struggle between the Soul and the Ego, both of whom appear as cartoon characters. The book's dreamlike images are meant to by-pass the adult intellect and aim for the heart. Think "Calvin and Hobbes" meet Eckhart Tolle. Using a bag of clever tricks, the Ego controls the Soul and leads them both on a fantastic adventure weaving through past and future. They journey through metaphorical landscapes, including The Carnival of Dreams (where success is all that matters), The Citadel of the Righteous (where salvation requires rigid obedience) and The Seeker's Path (where truth is always just around the corner). In the end, the Soul sees they have just been going in circles and comes to an important realization. Whimsical, witty, and sometimes a bit outrageous, the book packs a spiritual punch and can be appreciated by just about anyone who has some insight into the human condition.
