Publisher's Synopsis
In this poetry chapbook, Francine McClendon utilizes a mixture of verse styles including short form poetry and prose, to explore themes of life, love, illness, identity, and death. Many of these poems arose from a need to express the experience of the passing of a dear friend, what his presence meant, and the fear-- yet hope-- of developing another loving relationship after such loss. Most of all, the poems reflect the determination of spirit that we all need to live and love in this life, regardless of circumstances.
