The rambling Villa Perdita should provide an idyllic summer setting for Lesley, her family and her friends. But soon after they arrive they discover that all is not what it ought to be. Disappearing neighbours bring the police to their door. The holiday visitors to the Villa find themselves under investigation, inadvertently entangled with the fate of the strangers they hardly know. This sets in motion a string of events in which each becomes a player. The characters from Nobody I Know find themselves reassessing their futures as love, jealousies, underworld plots and betrayals shift them back and forth against the stunning backdrop of the French Pyrenees. Some bonds are strengthened while others crumble under the pressure, leading to unexpected consequences. Returning home, they find their experiences at the Villa Perdita are impossible to shake off, resulting in a summer none of them is likely to forget.
