Publisher's Synopsis
Pure wuxia in the style of Louis Cha (Jin Yong), Gu Long, and Liang Yusheng. No time travel. No xianxia. No RPG elements. Just old school tales of the Rivers and Lakes.
If you like Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon, Hero, and old school Kungfu movies, then you'd want to sit down, grab some tea, and enjoy this vast world of handsome swordsmen, beautiful maidens, and lots of treacherous villains. Wucheng is a small town at the edge of the Mei Empire with a once famous Heaven's Edge Inn that now serves more vagrants than heroes. Amongst the rabble is a rumored spy carrying a secret destined to change the fate of the nation, and two constables are on the hunt to eliminate this threat. Famed swordsman Lin Wuai and his wife, Lin Ruting, along with their ten-year old disciple want nothing more than escape from the endless turmoil in the martial world of the Rivers and Lakes. Only one small border town stands between them and the endless green prairies and pale blue skies. Local black sheep, Feng Xiaoyan, hates everything about her town and its people. She blames them for the death of her parents and sister, and they blame her for everything else. Perhaps she has finally found the small kindling needed to set the world ablaze.
