Publisher's Synopsis

Throughout his life Steve Logan has had the spirit of adventure pulsing throughout his soul. From his early days surfing up and down the east coast of Florida all the way to Hawaii, during his tours of duty in Vietnam, setting up a not-so-legitimate business throughout the Caribbean then later retiring from that life and going legit, he made friends and associates that would benefit him throughout his life and he would benefit theirs. He's good-natured, mischievous, intelligent, savvy and cunning, a shrewd businessman, an expert with firearms, master in the martial arts, but what sets him apart from most is what he was taught by his parents from an early age. Compassion, loyalty to those he calls his friends, fairness, honesty and if he can, help those that are deserving. Those aware of his reputation know not to cross him or those closest to him. Those that make the mistake and do end up wishing they hadn't. Up to this point Steve had lived an exciting but solitary life with a few relationships thrown in from time to time. Of course there had been women but nothing to the point of even considering making anything long term. The problem was he never could find a woman he could consider as an equal partner, someone that would be a challenge to him both intellectually and mentally, had the same zest for life and adventure but mostly accept the motley crew he called friends and his colorful and sometimes tempestuous life. No way could he have predicted how one hurricane would impact his future.
