This book is written primarily as a text for graduate and advanced undergraduate students taking courses on skeletal biomechanics, and it serves to integrate anatomy and physiology with structural and material behavior in a way that is highly didactic.It is rigorous in its approach to the mechanical properties of the skeleton, without requiring mathematics beyond calculus or neglecting the biological properties of skeletal tissue.
