This new textbook for undergraduate and BTEC courses covers a full two or three year syllabus in a single volume and also takes account of setting out in some detail. Two-thirds of the text deals with surveying techniques and equipment, including errors and adjustment. The remaining part concentrates on setting out, introducing the reader to the practical side of site work. The methods described are geared to modern equipment and processes, but throughout, the book emphasizes the need to appreciate site problems as well as the implications of the latest electronic methods of field work and data handling.
