Francisco and Josefa Santos, two children from Guam, enjoy the many tropical diversions their island paradise has to offer, but they have already experienced tremendous pain in their lives, losing both of their parents in a boating accident, and now their future is uncertain once again. Their grandfather, Tata Jose Santos, is the only one who can provide for them, but he is very ill. When the children are on the verge of being left destitute and in the dark, wondrous surprises appear on the horizon in the form of a mermaid named Sirena and a marvelous sailboat. The children soon learn that something greater than magic can transform and uplift them. Will Francisco and Josefa's grandfather welcome this new friendship in their lives with joy and enthusiasm?
