Abby Sumner, an attorney currently living in California, has come home to Live Oak only long enough to attend her father's funeral and settle his estate. Afterward, she plans to return to Los Angeles and never look back.
After a spirited first meeting between Joe and Abby, sparks begin to fly in more ways than one. But now Joe begins to notice distinct changes in his mother-in-law's behavior. Unsure of the reason, he soon learns of a terrible secret from long ago that could jeopardize his relationship with both women.
