The greatest deception of the human race is that a mere assent to the truth constitutes righteousness. In all human experiences, a theoretical knowledge of the truth has been proved insufficient for salvation. In modern Christianity some of the human super impositions are summarized as the principles or articles of faith of the given body of believers. This is otherwise known as the creed of the organisation. Any act that is intended to take away the glory and honour due God is a sin. Heresy is choosing what part of the Bible to believe. It is disheartening that some Christian organisations restrict their members to certain food types and modes of dressing. It is really not scriptural to do these things on points of religion.Man was originally created for service and worship to God. Failing, therefore, to give appropriate service and worship to God is reckoned as act of sinfulness. Any Christian doctrine or Church life that detracts from the central belief of the Universal Church, leads to apostasy which is the way to the False Church. This is a satanic influence that attempts to divert the attention of God's people from the only source of His grace, Jesus Christ crucified. Apostasy is a dangerous tendency. Believers are warned to be watchful and careful. The harlot can be identified through the overflow of their high sounding doctrines, most of which detract from the basic tenets of Christianity.
