Publisher's Synopsis
The excitement of the Old West comes alive in your classroom! Your students will journey through the Old West by playing the parts of historical characters. Each student will plan a strategy and present his or her views about a hypothetical incident during the simulation of a trial. Students research and create visual and written representations of this exciting period in American history. While on their journey, students explore the literature, history, culture, and art of the period.
The Simulation Series is made up of six exciting simulations designed to teach content while also helping students develop problem-solving skills. Each edition includes a teacher's guide, a student handbook, and blackline masters that can be copied for classroom participation. Other topics include American Nostalgia, Earth Friendly, Endangered Species, Introduction Pack, and Medieval Destinations.
