A highly interactive CD-Rom which can be used as stand alone support for literacy or as part of the series of Little Monsters CD-ROMs. The activities on the CD all cover early phonics skills with spellings and sound patterns. Using the Little Monsters characters to create a learning adventure, this CD-ROM has six activities which cover: Initial consonant and short vowel sounds Recognising onsets, grapheme/phoneme relationships Creating consonant-vowel-consonant words Sound/spelling patterns, rhymes, alliteration Following spoken directions Word recognition Extending vocabulary in context. The CD-ROM includes parent/teacher support which provides progress assessment and classroom management, plus a print out facility for all activities completed. The CD-ROM also comes as part of a literacy pack with paper educational support materials.
