His shining brown eyes, mirth filled face, and haunting laughter keep her from concentrating for weeks. Unknown to Shannon she is part of an ancient race of immortals known as Shadow Weavers and her mystery man is a vampire. When she faces her fear of intimacy, she is sucked into a shady underground world where she is kept as a slave for an ancient coven of vampires led by one of the most ruthless and cold vampires known in the world. However, it is here she learns to make use of the gift of her Shadow Weaver heritage as well as reconnects with her father. She learns to see and control a room's energy to create a shadow memory of the room at any given point in time. These shadows turn from vague shapes into a moving pictures the longer she watches and the more she learns to control her gift. She survives in her new environment the only way she knows how, by relying on herself alone.
