The seven heavenly virtues are patience, charity, diligence, humility, chastity, kindness, and temperance. They are also considered to be the "contrary virtues" because they each have a counterpart in the seven deadly sins. If you practice these virtues, they will guard you against the temptation of the capital sins. In this book the author seeks to explore each virtue, one by one, through Scripture. She then offers her thoughts on some of the Scriptures and there's a spot at the end of each chapter for you to jot down your own thoughts on that virtue.
