Publisher's Synopsis
Seruna Mission is Book 3 in the Emissary Series, following The Emissaries and Enchanting Emissary, but may be read as a stand-alone book.
Seruna Mission unveils profound and crucial truth, accomplishing this goal through a medium of spellbinding fantasy and romance. The author's lifelong pursuit of spiritual and intellectual knowledge is blended with his vivid imagination and love of captivating fiction. Apollo is born on a planet that has never been blighted with crime or immorality. Although the planet harbors a robust population of spiritual beings, including Vorsheams and Bushworls, there are only five human beings who are accepted as permanent residents. This is where Apollo spends most of his childhood. Sheena, Apollo's mother, is the Seruna Savant, the only human being who is capable of communicating with Vorsheams and Bushworls in their native language, a language of mental telepathy. She is also a Quazarian warrior, endued with special powers by one of the foremost surgeons on the civilized planet of Quazaria. Apollo learns much from his father, who grew to adulthood on Planet Earth; and from his mother, who was raised in the Kingdom of Southern Ivoria within the Realm of Subterrania. But after maturing beyond puberty, Apollo begins pursuing studies in the central tower of Laquistar on Planet Quazaria. The savants of Laquistar teach Apollo about the religions and peoples of Planet Earth, and Apollo determines to visit Earth as a missionary. The Verurs of Quazaria agree to sponsor Apollo's mission. It is determined that he will first visit a Baptist preacher and address a doctrinal teaching that the savants consider to be of risk and concern. Next, Apollo will meet with a Roman Catholic cardinal and raise questions regarding power and authority. Following the meeting with the cardinal, Apollo's assignment is to discuss Biblical doctrine and divine revelation with a Mormon elder, and then to repeat the process with a Muslim cleric. The savants hope Apollo's mission will serve to increase the population of heaven and decrease the population of hell, and will shed light on topics that have long been bound in darkness upon the surface of Planet Earth.
