Publisher's Synopsis

The books' setting is in the early years of the Vietnam War, with Sergeant Clifton A. Murray, who's in the United States Army. He is a professional soldier and on his second tour of duty in Vietnam. Being well trained with his eleven years of active duty, he is a well seasoned combat veteran. His primary job is being in charge of the door gunners on the Huey Helicopter Gunship and Medevacs; based at Quang Tri, South Vietnam. Due to his arrogances toward his subordinates, and the officers who flies the choppers he is not well liked by any of the men. His willingness to kill without discretion, weather or not the enemy are armed or in surrender he has been taken off flight status and restricted to quarters awaiting charges for killing three enemy POWs. But tonight things well change. On this night he has found a way to sneak onboard and fly as the door gunner in the right door of a Medevac chopper. Un-knowing to Sergeant Murray, the pilot and co-pilot who are pressing the charges against him are flying the ill-faded chopper. The Medevac mission is actually on a search and rescue mission for twp downed Air Force pilots, some 90 miles into North Vietnam. It doesn't take the two medevac pilots long after take-off to realize that in the early morning darkness Murray has sneaked on board. What follows on the remainder of their ill-faded flight, the mission is doomed and the crew members are put into a very precarious situation that will thoroughly test each man physically, mentally and spiritually; and also the unexpected outcome will text the reader in the same ways.
