Cecilia Bartoli stars in the title role of Robert Carsen's modern-dress staging of Handel's dramatic opera 'Semele' at Zurich Opera House. Not satisfied with being the mistress of Jupiter (Charles Workman), the beautiful and ambitious Semele strives with tragic results to supplant his wife, Juno (Birgit Remmert).
