Publisher's Synopsis
"Scene della Foresta" (Scenes from the Forest) is a collection of eight short pieces designed for young musicians. Through simple and evocative melodies entrusted to the recorder, and a rich, imaginative piano accompaniment, the suite invites listeners on a fairy-tale journey into an enchanted forest. Each piece portrays a character, a place, or a moment: the little woodcutter, the dance of the fairies, the clockmaker gnome, the whispers of the lake, the golden fish, the witch, the endless forest, and the wise old tree. The recorder part is written to be accessible even to children, without sacrificing expressive quality. The piano accompaniment supports the musical narrative with suggestive harmonies and rich soundscapes, suited for intermediate-level performers such as teachers or accompanists. Inspired by Italian and French musical traditions and paying homage to the poetic world of Mélanie Bonis, Scena della Foresta is an invitation to explore chamber music from the very first years of study, with simplicity, imagination, and wonder.
