Publisher's Synopsis

One hundred and eighty photographs of subjects ranging from barns, buskers and a Beetle to mushrooms, architectural details and jellyfish are simply scattered throughout these pages -- scattered without regard to subject, tone (color or black and white), chronology, camera format, or the alphabet. This random presentation is intended to maximize the element of surprise from page to page. Paul Weideman is a longtime serious amateur photographer. He grew up primarily in Michigan and also lived in Africa 1962-65. He has degrees in biology (Western Michigan University) and editorial journalism (University of Washington). A New Mexico resident since 1992, Weideman recently retired from a career in journalism, most of it as an employee of the Santa Fe New Mexican.
