Publisher's Synopsis
This collection of short story poems was brought about from different inspirations in this young poet's life. "Scary Library" was conceived and written in the Apple Valley Library in California as a salute to the great characters from all of the literature on the book shelves. "The Candy Store" is a short story poem aimed toward children that gives the important message of moderation for the sweetest things in life. "Mister Kent" is a dramatic first person perspective of a conflicted hero that tries to find the strength to persevere. "Goodbye, Grandma" was written in mourning of the author's beloved relative when she was taken by cancer years ago. "An Ode To The Arts" is an award winning celebration for all of the entertainment in the world that helps us through life. In October '07, it was the winner of the Editor's Choice Award in the International Society of Poetry's yearly publication. Enjoy!
