A young boy appears, as if from nowhere, one Sunday afternoon, in Diggory Jones' bedroom. Only wearing underpants, and sporting a black eye, the boy proceeds to change the destiny of all the occupants of the house, forever - and usually against their will! Strange things go bump in the night leading to mistaken identities, sexual shenanigans and even deaths. Angel, the boy's name - or is it Scarlet? - turns up months later in a Parisian cafe where more blood is spilt and the thirst for money continues.My three main influences on this play are Copi, Eugene Ionesco and [though not classified as an Absurdist writer] Joe Orton - all three playwrights have taught me about structure, timing, comedy [in both lines and action] and not being scared to approach risqué topics boldly.Fantasy and reality are blurred. Everyone in the play tells lies - or do they? What you see, as an audience, is what you get - or is it?I want you to laugh out loud at the characters. I also want you to feel their pain!
