Publisher's Synopsis
After receiving a mysterious letter from his missing father, Will races to catch the departing train at The Autobahn Station in hopes of finding him. At the same time, Will's friends find that their departure times for their Hi-Yed-Ins have changed, and they leave without so much time as to tell their families. But where The Autobahn takes them is far from where they thought they were going. The children will soon find themselves not in Continent "A", not in Continent "B", and not even on a little island in The Earth World. Rather, they will find themselves in a dark world; a shadow of the land in which they grew up; a world in which they are the prey --and something else is the predator; a whole new reality with not humans, but creatures; and not light, but darkness. Whether or not the children are prepared for this threat... ...it is hunting them....
