Five years ago, when her daughter asked if she would knit some clothes for her girls' 18-inch dolls, Jeanne agreed readily, but the few patterns she found didn't meet her requirements. The projects in this book use Caron Simply Soft Light, which is an inexpensive acrylic yarn that drapes attractively, giving beautiful results without a high price tag. The patterns knit up quickly, require a minimal number of same-size tools, and have few seams, thus saving time as well as money. Each outfit comes complete from head to toe with tops, bottoms, headbands, bags, shoes and socks. Clever accessories include 'Ugg' inspired boots for the hiker and apres ski faux fur boots for the snow bunny.
