Sashiko is a Japanese people artwork that had its origins in Edo period Japan and has optimal over centuries from a frugal necessity into the ornamental artwork so cherished today.
The phrase Sashiko capability 'little stabs', a reference to the straightforward foot sew employed in repeating or interlocking patterns. Sashiko grew out of a simple, rough-hewn rural way of existence of farmers and fishing communities.
