Samantha is a happy, 'fat' girl. She was brought up by her grandparents who gave her everything she want; including a lot of food and sweets. Sam was a good and bright child. Josh thought she was a fine lady, deserving the best gentleman in town. But after a disturbing encounter with a son of a wealthy man, Samantha and her family were made to leave their town in Texas.Samantha and her grandparents moved to San Diego, in California. They started their own businesses. Samantha opened a Diner just opposite the beach. Her clients adored her sense of humor and the food. Her meals were good; with a loving home-cooked touch. Her business took off. Sam was content with her successful business, and tried to shut out her grandfather's insistence that she must go to college and marry a 'nice' man. As far as Samantha was concerned, she was a successful business woman and she had the support and love of her dear grandparents. She wanted to leave well-enough alone. But on her twenty-seventh birthday, she met the one man who could change her life.
