Sadie is crushing it in her corporate career; she's just been named head of the marketing department at GenTech, she has her own apartment, and her future is looking bright. However, when her long-distance fiancé calls off their engagement a week before her best friend's wedding, Sadie's perfect life begins to crumble.
Sam is trying his best to climb the IT ranks at GenTech, but his manager and fellow associates don't take him seriously. When he catches his work pal (and longtime crush) Sadie crying in her office, it quickly becomes clear that they can work together to find a means to both of their ends.
With a scheme to pose as fake fiancée's, Sadie can save face at her friend's wedding and Sam can look a little more grown up in the eyes of his employer. However, as the days go by, Sam and Sadie realize that planning a fake wedding is way more fun than planning a real one, and that maybe tying the knot with their best friend wouldn't be the worst thing in the world after all.
This is a low-heat, closed door romance with a guaranteed happily-ever-after!
