Publisher's Synopsis
At the age of four Sally finds herself in the wrong carriage on a train of evacuees, which takes her to the last paradise on earth, a little village called Chrishall. Although living under the shadow of the war, Sally enjoys a special childhood with Fred and Jessie who treat her like their own daughter.
