Publisher's Synopsis
The goal of the Dictionary is to provide the specialist (and not only) with a brief, systematic information on Russian literary critics of the 20th century with a modern analytical review of their activities and an optimal bibliographic application. Being the most representative to date, the prepared edition does not pretend to be exhaustive in completeness of coverage of names (the first volume - from "A" to "L" - includes 378 articles), but seeks to make a feasible contribution to the study of the science of literature of the past century. Participation in the preparation of this volume of the Dictionary was accepted by 254 authors from educational and scientific centers around the world. In their totality, the entries in the dictionary highlight the theoretical, historical and literary picture of Russia and the Russian emigrants in the twentieth century. The publication is provided with installation introductory articles, photo illustrations, as well as a nominal index (about 5200 entries).
