Publisher's Synopsis

Differentiated book- It has a historical context with research of the time-Russian Fairy Tales by William Ralston Shedden Ralston ..The purpose of realizing this historical context is to approach the understanding of a historical epoch from the elements provided by the text. Hence the importance of placing the document in context. It is necessary to unravel what its author or authors have said, how it has been said, when, why and where, always relating it to its historical moment.RALSTON, WILLIAM RALSTON SHEDDEN- (1828-1889), Russian scholar, born April 4, 1828 at York Terrace, Regent's Park, was the only son of WP Ralston Shedden, who, as a merchant in Calcutta, accumulated a considerable fortune. On his return to this country, the father settled in Palmira Square, Brighton, and it was there that the son of his early years spent the most time. He was educated by the Rev. John Hogg of Brixham, Devonshire, where, in the company of three or four children of the same age, he studied until he went to university. In 1846 he enrolled at Trinity College Cambridge and graduated from BA in 1850.
