Publisher's Synopsis

Arturo Suarez was born in Ansermanuevo, Valle, and grew up in various corners of Colombia. He emigrated to the United States in 1961, after two years of elementary school, and returned to his native country in retirement in 2015. This is the story of his childhood, adolescence, and life as an immigrant in the great country of the north, where he remained for more than half a century. This story details his failures and adventures, but much more the triumphs that life brought him.

Five decades recounted in 18 chapters about the life of one of the many Colombians who emigrated in search of an uncertain future. It is a narration year after year, event after event, of the daily life of someone who takes an unknown course, to see how far he can go, given the tools he has and the circumstances of the moment.

In the end, Arturo, Rusbely, and Arti Galan, were able to reach unthinkable goals never imagined, such as traveling to 35 countries as an American executive and becoming a Real Estate Agent in 1974 in Philadelphia. Create the first Hispanic Soccer League in Philadelphia in 1983, Create the first Hispanic Yellow Pages directory in 1994, still in circulation as of this printing, and become a well-known singer for more than thirty years
