Publisher's Synopsis
An artifact of great power has been discovered in an area of space known as the Cornucopia. The artifact confers on the worthy the power of the four elements and Mother Superior Maria Paulina will do everything in her power to protect it. To keep the artifact out of the wrong hands Paulina forms the Keepers of the Four Mysteries and confers the artifact's power on four unlikely candidates. Fearing that the artifact is no longer safe, Paulina decides that the it must be destroyed. She sends Sister Phoebe, Keeper of Sorrow (water), on a mission to enlist the help of Space Trader Captain Calvin Orlando, Keeper of Glory (air) in tracking down the other two Keepers. Paulina means to destroy the artifact by taking the Keepers back to the place where it was found and removing the Keeper's powers. Yet, both Orlando and Phoebe find the journey more difficult and dangerous than anticipated. They also find that some of the other Keepers might not be to keen on letting go of their powers.
