Publisher's Synopsis
Magazine. Poetry. RUNES: A REVIEW OF POETRY is an annual themed anthology of one hundred poems. The theme is approached from all directions: traditional and expected, as well as metaphorical, metaphysical, imaginative and innovative. The poems are assembled to read from one to the other, leading the reader on from beginning to end. Of course, RUNES can also be 'tasted' out of order as well. The theme for 2007 is CONNECTION and contains poems by Peter Cooley, Shirley Kaufman, Gary Short, Arthur Sze, David St. John, Lynne Thompson, Liliana Ursu, Eleanor Wilner, and many more. RUNES is a flat-spined, signatured book with full color cover and some inside illustrations.
