1887. Ruby's beloved piano has been taken to auction to pay off her father's debts. After finding out the name of its purchaser, Simeon Sinclair, she wonders if she might approach him and offer to buy it back from him, paying in instalments. But her father warns her to stay away from the Sinclairs. Ruby persists, however, and uncovers the secret that led to a feud between their two families.
