Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Royal Colonial Institute Year Book, 1913
IN presenting to the Fellows and Associates of the Institute the second issue of the Year Book, it is hoped that it may assist in spreading abroad a better knowledge of the aims and objects of the Institute and the work which is being done in promoting the closer and permanent unity of the Empire. The current issue has been extended in various ways, as, in addition to the information embodied in the edition for 1912, it contains the latest statistical information regarding all parts of the Empire, as well as a classified list of the newspapers and magazines which are to be seen in the Institute Building. The list of Fellows has grown considerably during the past year, and the geographical lists both of Resident and non-resident Fellows cannot fail to prove of service to the Fellows generally. Full particulars are also given regarding the competition for the Gold Medal of the Institute, and also of the Prizes for Essays which are offered by the Council to Universities and Secondary Schools.
Fellows are particularly requested to notify all changes in their addresses, so that the monthly Journal and other communications may be forwarded without delay.
