When residents of the small Terrebonne parish community of Chauvin become victim to some unknown creature, and an irresponsible reporter claims "A Rougarou is on the loose!" panic engulfs the entire community. It is up to Sheriff Brad Stevens to restore calm and tranquility to the small bayou community. Skeptical of the legend, Stevens has no idea he will soon find himself in a life and death struggle to defeat a creature days earlier he swore did not exist.
