This is a collection of medieval romance literature translated into Danish. The book includes the stories of Ivan Løveridder, Hertug Frederik af Normandi, and Flores og Blanseflor. The translator, Carl Joakim Brandt, was a Danish philologist and librarian who worked at the Royal Library of Denmark. The book was published with the support of the Danish literary society Samfundet til den danske Literaturs Fremme.
