Publisher's Synopsis
While living in Ireland I was taken out behind the wall and shown the divisions of both communities in this country. I happened to touch down with these world stage people that I write about. Amidst the bricks, bottles, and petrol bombs there was an ensuing tranquility that we would get out of this frightful mess and see our way clear to establishing, between Ireland and Britain, a long-lasting and enduring peace. I hope that I have made a contribution to poetry and shored up any peace poems that may or may not have been left out in the messages given to me by many people from both the British and Irish sides. Our colleagues and friends in America, too, are remembered and it is often in journals and newspapers that I read our enduring connection between these two sister islands and the United States of America. I hope one day to visit America as a writer and meet my readership in the United States. All best wishes and take great care in all that you do, as the God of all people is looking after you!
