Two months have passed since the treaty between the human hunters and Brayden was drawn up and Anika is preparing to enter college. Everything should be easy from here on out, right? Wrong! Shaun sends a small group of hybrids Brayden and Anika's way, though his motives for doing so are unclear. Led by Dimitri, a ferryman from the Island of the Sun and acquaintance of Anika, the new hybrids bring more questions than answers, especially when one of them takes a liking to Anika. Anika and Dimitri's friendship becomes stronger while her relationship with Brayden seems to stagnate, and Shaun's true motives and loyalties are thrown into question. Anika must decide what she wants out of life and how long she can wait for the hybrid she thinks she loves.
