The idea or theme of the book is fascinating since almost everyone has thought to them selves, "what would I do if there is a complete break down of the social order?" This is a fun read which follows one boy and his family after social order crumbles and he and the family have to learn how to survive in a new world. There are plenty of questions and situations left unanswered which will allow for an intriguing sequel.
Fast moving and timelyA sit on the edge of your seat adventure that weaves family dynamics in with an apocalyptic event and centers on a resourceful and very human character responding to events he can't control. A great read-and especially applicable in these times. Life and death choices, survival and a mission during chaos. Sit back and buckle up.
Well-paced action!Great page-turner! Lots of action and well-paced. I was disappointed when I came to the end and wanted more!
What would I do?Liked this even better than Jay Mackey's first book. Great pacing and lots of action. Guarantee that just a few pages into the book, you'll be asking yourself what in the world would I do if this happened to me!
