Publisher's Synopsis
Ten-year-old Peylon wants two things more than anything else in the world. One is to have his very own horse and the other is to live in a real village. But he is a member of the Weenoka, a band of outcasts who live on the mountain and move their camp from place to place to avoid capture. Peylon knows he can never go to the village. Then one day a stranger comes into their camp and Peylon is involved in an unexpected adventure. He learns the secret meaning of his name, yet he knows he can only achieve his dreams by leaving his mountain home. With great courage he faces the obstacles he must overcome to become all he is meant to be.
