YOUR LIPS

Your lips are the cutest roses I've ever seen
The sweetest place my lips have ever been
If there be a thing sweeter than honey,
It's the taste of your rosy-red lips;
The beautiful gates that fence your smile
And shield your immaculate white molars.

I long for another day our lips may meet
Whether in love, luck or infatuation
To form the eclipse of another kiss
Like the moon in the sky that kisses the sun;
And if some day you're gone like the sun,
I'll carry the taste of your honey lips
Like the moon into the darks of your absence;
Yet I'll miss the aroma of your breath
That I savor only when I'm on your lips.

It all begins from within, the heart, everything we do: fear, love, war, people, and even the fine nature. 'Rhythms of the Heart' is a paramount first piece of Vkings poetry collection. The author's passion for poetry genre of writing emanated from his love for short stories and drama. The author discovered poetry as the best way to record his memories and experiences as a special kind of diary. The book carries a collection of poems written over a decade, from 2011 to 2021.

THE TREES CRY (1)

Men don't care!
All they want is their share
Of smiles and happy life;
But the trees cry:
Sharp blades that know no life
Murder their happy smiles
See as they bleed like the Nile
Cut from their umbilical ties;
Birds that flee and fly
Stranded in the carbon sky
Four legged in need of heights
They find no home to hide...

WITHOUT YOU

Nobody wants to be alone;
Needing you to call my own,
The greatest regret is me without you
Look into my eyes and see it's true.

Without you, I'm my own best company
Be my Chloe and I your Anthony
Looking into your eyes all day and night;
Like the sun and moon right from the sky.
Without you I cannot be me;
Offset by your absence from the scene,
We can make the greatest love story
Than Shakespeare's pen ever told in history,
I want to love you like nobody has done;
Even when this beauty I see is gone.

Simple enough to understand, the poetical diction or language/choice of words that flow through the poems are carefully selected, easily identifiable to readers with English as second language and of all works of life. The work captures the mind, the environment and things beyond. It is full of emotions: excitement, empathy, encouragement; all matters of the heart.
