The stories of how it happened are told simply and shortly, demonstrating how people won their way out of one of the worst of all misfortunes.;The second part of the book is a 100 page directory of organizations which can help the long-term unemployed; not just government agencies, but independent bodies, political and charitable institutions and commercial companies from whom information and support is available.;This book has been compiled by a group of cross-bench Members of Parliament, under the stewardship of Hartley Booth, MP for Finchley.
