Publisher's Synopsis
This book represents the first effort to present altogether a comprehensive summary of the relevant and neuroanatomical physiology of respiratory control disorders, the various assessment and evaluation modalities pertinent to infants and children and all of the appropriate age-related treatment possibilities. Each of the individual clinical entities that is either caused by or associated with a respiratory control deficit is discussed in a separate chapter. These discussions range from apnoea of prematurity to problems of obesity, chronic lung disease and obstructive sleep apnoea in older infants and children. The book also includes a summary of relevant neuroanatomy and neurophysiology.
