Sara Quinn has always wanted to be a successful career woman, but working for a small-town newspaper wasn't fulfilling her dreams. Bored and determined to find love and experience life outside of her hometown she resorts to an online dating site. Ready to fly up to Seattle to meet her match her boss advises her he has an emergency and needs her to stay in the office for a few weeks running the business. Frustrated she has to delay her plans when suddenly the biggest story of Moonlight Valley literally falls from the sky. A decorated [SG1] [sg2] hero's plane crashes and lands in the field of a local farm. Sara is the first to arrive and helps get Colton to safety. During his hospital stay, she learns more about him and sees the opportunity to investigate something more exciting than the communities next crop of corn.

Suffering from PTSD and extreme anxiety, Colton is forced to take an honorable discharge from the Air Force. It's then he decides to fulfill his promise and borrows his dad's two-seater airplane. While flying over Moonlight Valley, the engine cuts out forcing him to an emergency landing. Fortunately a cute perky reporter named Sara is driving by and able to help him out. But while he recovers from minor bumps and bruises in the local hospital, she uncovers emotional wounds he's still healing from.
