Publisher's Synopsis
Based on the true story of a 23-year old student in Germany who died of starvation following an exorcism in 1976. After suffering a breakdown through the stresses of her first year at University, Michaela Klinger (Sandra Huller) an epileptic girl from a cripplingly strict Catholic upbringing seeks counsel in her priest. The subsequent happenings provide a chilling insight into the nature of possession and blurs the lines between pious religiosity and the dark side. The film has been widely acclaimed and lead actress Huller won best actress at Berlin for her portrayal.
