Whatever may be our fentiments in regard to the merits of the Cafe, or themterells of the refpe�'twe parties, we have uniformly been anxious that this work lhould be eondu�lzed with a firi�t regard to candour and cor re�tnefs. It is fubmitted to the public, under a perfect recolle�tion', Of the multitude of Witne?'es who are knowing to the truth, or the falfehood, of the fa&s here Rated and who will compare the te prefentations here made with the tranfa?ions they law and heard at the trial.
