Publisher's Synopsis
The contemporary sculptures of Renzo Tieri feature ancient stones as the basic foundation of his work. The artist mounts fragments of pure crystal between ancient stone and modern transparent material, integrating between these layers the fluid element of oil that has been burnt by the industrial progress of the machine. His forms are studied and discovered, presenting a metaphor for the history of humanity which reveals how the secrets of our future lie in the solid base of the past.
