Painted between the years 1632 and 1646, the Passion series is one of Rembrandt's finest accomplishments. This volume investigates a work known as the Entombment Sketch - actually a beautiful finished painting, and the jewel of the Hunterian Art Gallery's collection. Drawing from paint samples, new high- definition imagery, and other technical findings, this volume thoroughly explores the provenance of the painting.
