This is the first book in a series providing an RE scheme which adopts an experiential approach for use in lower secondary schools. The materials, which have been tested in schools, draw on ICOREC's worldwide network of religious organizations and contacts from different faiths.;Book 1 uses stories, some based on everyday lives of children in the UK and others studying religious leaders and events from various faiths and ages. They examine matters arising from pupils' own experience of religious, social and moral issues. Information boxes back up the stories with factual data. The contents meet the requirements of the Education Reform Act 1988 by providing materials on Christianity and the other principal religions represented in Great Britain.
